In a new development, the Kerala Police on Saturday said that six assailants were behind the attack and murder of former RSS Physical Education instructor Sreenivasan in Palakkad.

Sreenivasan was killed at his own shop in town, police said.

According to reports, Sreenivasan had deep wounds and had three injuries to his head alone. There were 10 injuries in total. The assailants had arrived in front of Sreenivasan’s shop on one scooter and two bikes.

Three assailants had reportedly remained in the vehicle while the other three went inside the shop where they hacked him to death.

The incident is reportedly said to have happened in retaliation for the murder of a Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) worker, Subair, who was allegedly hacked to death by five people on Friday. The SDPI had alleged that the RSS was behind the attack.

Meanwhile, the SDPI has denied any involvement in the murder of the former RSS Physical Education instructor.

PFI State secretary CA Rouf said that they will never aid any crime. He said, “The police and criminals are conspiring in the murder of the SDPI worker.”

Rouf demanded that RSS worker Sanjith’s family should be arrested as his vehicle was used by assailants who attacked SDPI worker Subair on Friday.
