Special food arrangements have been made for the industrialists coming from India and abroad for the UP Global Investors Summit 2023. The tent city has 2 sections specially developed as food courts. It includes 2 Silver and 2 Gold foodcourts for the guests. In these, more than 50 types of delicious dishes and sweets are being served.

In order to make the Investors Summit the best in terms of taste, investors are being served 50 types of dishes including Awadh, Purvanchal, South Indian, Rajasthani, Punjabi and special dishes of Lucknow.

Special focus on Awadhi and Rajasthani food
Summit’s Head Chef Mugir says, “Investors are coming here mostly from Delhi, Mumbai and abroad. The cuisine here has been designed keeping this in mind. More focus has been placed on Awadhi and Rajasthani food.”

“The famous Galavati Kebab, Biryani and local sweets are also being served here keeping in mind the Lucknowi flavours. The effort has been made to bring the investors closer to the flavours.”

In the summit, the responsibility of catering at Gold Food Court has been given to Ghazal Caterers of Delhi. Saleem, the manager of Ghazal Catering, told that he has got the contract to set up the entire setup of the food. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner for three days. Separate welcome drinks, coffee hut and fruit counters are always being kept active for the guests.

Most stalls of seasonal vegetables and less spicy food
In view of the cold season, dishes made of green vegetables are being served at the summit. A special combo of mustard greens and maize bread has been made in this. There is a separate counter for Palak Paneer, Mix Cheese Vegetables and Maize-Palak Sabzi. Rajasthani Khichdi, Kadhi, Shahi Paneer cuisines have been set up for the mildly spicy food lovers.

Special focus has been laid on the food sectors in the UP Investors Summit. Among the major proposals received for the summit, an investment of Rs 2236 crore has been made in the food and warehouse sector. Special food products of the districts like Petha of Agra, Imarti of Jaunpur, Galawati Kebab of Lucknow and Veg Keema Biryani have been included in the gold food menu of the summit.

Special arrangements have been made for foreign delegates in the Gold Food Court of the Investors Summit. Foodcourt manager Sunil says, “Most of the baked dishes have been kept for foreign delegates. Especially 5 types of baked vegetable salad (Garden Green Salad, Veg Gado-Gado Salad, Mediterranean Salad, Potato German Salad, Chana Chaat and Cold pasta salads) have been added to the menu.”

For foreign guests, the drinks section has a separate section of green tea, cold coffee, black tea, virgin mojito and canned fruit juices.

America’s Catherine has come to promote her brand ‘Gaia More’ at the Investors Summit. His company sells carpets made of Bhadohi abroad. With the profit earned from this, she financially helps the carpet artisans of UP. Along with being a business woman, she is also an Indian food lover.

“I love UP’s food,” says Catherine. “Here at the foodcourt, I love the naan, aloo-gobhi, jalebi and kaju katli.” She smiles and says in English- Indian food is very unique and Amazing.

Expert chef for every regional dish
Apart from South and North Indian, chefs who understood his taste were also appointed for Rajasthani, Lucknowi and Punjabi and other regional dishes. The head chef of the Investors Summit said that we have 2 chefs from different states who are experts in preparing dishes from their respective regions. With this, wherever the investors may be, they will feel like coming to Lucknow and eating food like at home.

Dainik Bhaskar also interacted with the cooking staff of UP Investors Summit. He told that the staff works on a tight schedule from 6 am to 10 pm to ensure that every guest coming to the summit gets good food. There is a lot of work but it is fun to cook. There were also some people in the cooking staff who got the opportunity to work in such an event for the first time. Here we also got to learn a lot.

Chef Sunil says, “We have worked in government programs all over the country, but for the first time in UP, we have handled such a large level of catering. From the politicians to the normal guests here, they are very fond of spicy food. Paneer dishes were mostly served. Overall This summit will be very memorable in terms of food and drink.

A separate service staff of 125 people was appointed to serve the food along with a team of 10 expert chefs at the Global Investors Summit. Different catering units were given the responsibility of dining in the Silver and Gold food court sections.

SPG repeatedly checked every can of food, every item
The SPG force deployed under the security of Prime Minister, Home Minister and several Union Ministers repeatedly checked every item along with every can of food. No outside entry was prohibited during the dining of special guests. People without Gold Pass were not allowed to enter the Golden Food Court.

In the dining area, care has been taken to serve maximum Awadhi dishes to the visitors. Especially the recipes made of coarse grains were served the most. In this, Bajra Khichdi, Mang Dal Halwa and Buckwheat Puri were liked by the delegates.
