3000 people needed even after recruitment

In January 2021, the state government issued an order stating that they would recruit 7,076 posts of constables and 994 posts of police drivers in Mumbai Police. In this, after 2 years of training, they will be included in the police force. After recruiting all these posts, 3,000 people are still needed.

Employees will be outsourced from Maharashtra Government Security Corporation

To meet the requirement, the Mumbai Police Commissioner asked the Home Department to provide them 3000 people as outsourcers from the Maharashtra Government Security Corporation. The state government issued an order saying that permission has been given to 3000 employees from the State Security Corporation on an 11-month contract.
