As many as 18 gold coins were found on Saturday while digging a borewell in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari farm. According to media reports, the incident is from Eduvadala Palem village.

The farm belongs to a person named Manukonda Satyanarayana. Coins have been found from an earthen pitcher during the excavation of borewell pipeline in the field. As soon as Satyanarayan received the coins, he informed the Tehsildar about it.

He said that a total of 18 gold coins of 61 grams have been found from Satyanarayan’s field. The coins will be handed over to the District Collector’s office and deposited in the treasury. Also, its information has been given to the Archology Department.
