Varanasi DM Kaushal Raj Sharma said that the damage caused in the demolition will be compensated by the 27 arrested protesters. On June 17, miscreants ransacked 36 buses in Varanasi. There was a loss of about 13 lakh rupees in this.

9 FIRs and 27 arrested in Varanasi so far
So far 9 FIRs have been registered in the case of vandalism in Varanasi on June 17. 27 miscreants have been arrested and sent to jail. Apart from this, 57 other miscreants have been identified. Soon he too will be arrested.

Keeping an eye on coaching operators

DM Kaushal Raj Sharma told that from police station Sigra and Jaitpura, village assembly of Ghazipur- Pachrukhwa, Rehri Malipur, village of Jaunpur- Nagoli, Saidkhanpur, Gobra, Baharipur, Lal Majhwar, Bhagri and Khawajpura, Gram Sabha of Azamgarh, Rasepur, village of Mau People coming from Sabha Kusavu and Varanasi’s Gram Sabha-Hathiyar, Hajipur, Mudhadev, Devraidan, Cholapur and Gosaipur have been stopped. He is being asked the reason for coming to Varanasi.

DM Kaushal Raj Sharma said that out of total 36 buses of Transport Corporation Varanasi region and Varanasi City Transport Services Limited, 21 buses were in the cantonment and 15 buses were in the workshop. During the violence, about 150 miscreants damaged the glass, headlight and seat of the buses while pelting stones with sticks. The names of 27 miscreants, including photos, videos, evidence have been prepared and sent to Prayagraj, the Claims Authority constituted for recovery of damage to public property.

The police has arrested a youth who sent the message of agitation regarding Agneepath in Gorakhpur. The court sent him to jail for 14 days. Police conducted flag march with bulldozers in Aligarh on Monday. He gave a strong message to the chaotic elements. He said that action would be taken against those trying to create disturbances.
