Corona has gained momentum in Punjab. For the third consecutive day, more than 200 patients were found during 24 hours. On Thursday, 210 patients were found in the state. During this, a patient died in Jalandhar. 42 people have been put on life saving support. There have been 1121 active cases in the state. On Thursday, 11,267 were investigated by taking 11,489 samples.

Situation worsens in Mohali, most active cases are here
The situation is deteriorating in Mohali district adjoining Chandigarh. On Thursday, 65 new patients were found here. Most worrying is the 10.33% positivity rate here. The maximum 349 active cases are also here. Ludhiana district is at number two. Where 33 patients were found with 1.17% positivity rate. There are 199 active cases here. Apart from this, 20 new patients were found in Bathinda with a positivity rate of 6.33% and in Patiala 16 new patients with a positivity rate of 4.44%.

Patients started growing on ICU and ventilator
The death toll from corona in Punjab may increase in the coming days. Due to the seriousness of the corona, the number of patients on the ICU and ventilator has started increasing. At present, 8 patients have reached ICU and 3 ventilators. On Thursday, a patient was put on a ventilator in Bathinda. 31 patients have been kept on oxygen support.
