Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday arrested 10 terrorists working to reactivate banned separatist outfit JKLF and Hurriyat. Police told that these terrorists were meeting on the orders of their bosses sitting in Pakistan.

He told that the entire matter is being investigated. There may be some more arrests as well.

Terrorists were in contact with foreign organizations
A police spokesperson said that a case of illegal activity was already registered against these people at Kothibagh police station. Initial investigation has revealed that they were in contact with foreign entities.

Some of these people also preached separatism like JKLF’s Farooq Siddiqui and Kashmir Global Council headed by Raja Muzaffar.

The terrorists told fabricated stories after being caught
He told that these terrorists were caught during today’s meeting. After being caught, the terrorists told fabricated stories regarding the issue of the meeting. While the real agenda of the meeting was to discuss the strategy to reactivate the banned organisations.

It has also been found in the investigation that a similar meeting was held on 13 June 2023, in which most of the people attended. He said that the arrested terrorists have been identified as Mohd Yasin Bhat s/o Mohd Bhat, Mohd Rafiq Pehlu s/o Mohd Hasan, Shams U Deen Rahmani s/o Ameer Ahmed.

Besides these, Jahangir Ahmad Bhat s/o Gani Bhat, Khurshid Ah Bhat s/o Mohd Mohd, Shabbir Ah Dar s/o G Nabi, Sajjad Hussain Gul s/o Hamid, Srinagar, Firdaus Ah Shah s/o Ali Mohd, Parre Hasan Firdous s/o Rashid and Sohail Ahmad Mir’s son Salam has now been arrested.
