A new controversy has now erupted over the job of wrestlers who are agitating for the arrest of former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) President Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh amid sexual abuse. A day earlier, wrestlers Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat have returned to their jobs in the Railways from the sports quota. He was on leave after the agitation started on 23 April.

All the three wrestlers also retaliated regarding the controversy and in a similar tweet said that do not show fear, it will not take even 10 seconds to quit the job. Earlier on Saturday midnight, the three wrestlers had also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in this entire controversy.

In fact, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat returned to their jobs on Monday. All three work in the railways. This has been confirmed by Yogesh Baweja, Director General, Railway Public Relations. He told Dainik Bhaskar that all three have joined duty today itself.

After returning to duty, news came that the minor wrestler who had accused Brij Bhushan of sexual harassment has turned hostile. According to the claim, the minor gave the statement at Delhi’s Connaught Place police station. After this he was taken to Patiala House Court, where he took back the statement. All three wrestlers have also withdrawn their names from the movement.

Controversy over the age of minor wrestler

There is also a dispute regarding the age of the minor wrestler. The girl’s uncle claimed that she was above 18 years of age. A team of Delhi Police had also come to Rohtak in this matter. Records were checked in the school.

The minor wrestler and his parents had refused to exchange medals at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar a few days ago along with Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia. Father is also not ready to meet anyone. Nor is he telling his location.

Brijbhushan can get relief

If the minor wrestler withdraws the complaint, then the POCSO Act will be removed from Brij Bhushan. In such a situation, the case of molestation will be saved and there will be no need to arrest them first.

Brij Bhushan was accused by a minor wrestler

The minor wrestler’s father said, “The daughter won gold in the Junior Wrestling Championship at the National Games in Ranchi, Jharkhand at the age of 16. It was here, on the pretext of taking photographs, that Brijbhushan forcibly pulled the daughter close to him. Held her so tightly in his arms. She couldn’t even move to free herself. Brijbhushan took his hand down from her shoulder.”
