Women’s Premier League 2024: The race for play-offs has almost reached its end and what looks like is that the WPL fans across the country are most probably going to miss out on the prime of Deepti Sharma, as the star Indian all-rounder continues to perform for her side, but her efforts might just go down in vain as her side, UP Warriorz Women, have lost their last fixture of the league stage by 8 runs, and, in-order to qualify for the knockout stages, they need a heavy defeat of RCB Women, and also need to avoid a huge margin victory of Gujarat Giants.
The chances of RCB losing by a heavy margin looks bleak and the WPL can unofficially call the Smriti Mandhana’s side as the last side to qualify for play-offs. Deepti Sharma scored a magnificent unbeaten 88, but couldn’t see her side chase down a target of 153, as she, like she has for majority of the WPL 2024, stood as the lone warrior, while other batters continued to succumb under pressure and crumble.
