White House National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan said Biden would detail plans to increase the number of naval destroyers based in Rota, Spain, from four to six in talks Tuesday with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
Sullivan said the move was one of several announcements that Biden and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies would help strengthen alliances in the region.
