A major accident happened in Israel on Monday night, when a military helicopter crashed off the coast of Haifa in northern Israel. Two pilots have died in this accident. Regarding the accident, the army has said that a crew member has also been injured and has been taken to the hospital. He has suffered minor injuries. Presently the condition of the injured crew member is stable and is being treated in the shock ward.

The hospital has said that if needed, the crew member will be shifted to ICU for further treatment. Following this incident, the Commanding Officer of the Air Force has started an investigation into the accident and has ordered the temporary suspension of training flights as well as the use of Marine Panther helicopters.

People informed the police about the accident

The rescued crew member was pulled from the water a mile and a half from the shore by the naval police, after which those who witnessed the accident called the police. The injured crew member was then brought to the naval base in Haifa and later taken to the Rambam Health Care Campus.

The IDF said in a statement that the families of the pilots have been informed. The army said that the crew member was a patrolling officer. The crashed helicopter model usually consists of a pilot, a companion and a naval officer.
