Wonder Woman to super spy: Gal Gadot previews new action flick

Israeli superstar action hero Gal Gadot attended a Netflix live-streaming event Sunday during which she released the trailer for her upcoming spy drama, “Heart of Stone.”

Gadot was at the Netflix Tudum event in São Paulo, Brazil, along with co-stars Jamie Dornan and Alia Bhatt.

In the film, Gadot plays Rachel Stone, a highly trained intelligence agent who is also a member of an even more secret international organization with no political or national allegiances, called The Charter, that works to preserve world peace. However, when villain Keya Dhawan (Bollywood A-lister Bhatt) steals the “heart” of the Charter, which is the source of its all its awesome technological power, Stone set off on a globe-trotting, heart-stopping, stunt-filled adventure to get it back.

The film is scheduled to be released on Netflix on August 11.

It was produced by Pilot Wave, the company owned by Wonder Woman actress Gadot and her husband, Jaron Varsano.

According to Variety, Netflix obtained global rights to the movie in 2021.

Gadot also recently returned to the silver screen as Gisele Yashar in the last installment of the Fast and Furious series, “Fast X,” released in May.
