Women’s World Cup 2022! Anushka Sharma and Taapsee Pannu celebrate India’s win against Pakistan – Times of India

Women’s World Cup 2022 commenced on March 4. Bollywood celebrities sent their best wishes to the women’s cricket team. On Sunday, the Mithali Raj-led team played with Pakistan‘s cricket team in Mount Maunganui.

The Indian team set a target of 244 runs after losing seven wickets in 50 overs. Now, Anushka Sharma and Taapsee Pannu have taken to their social media handles to celebrate India’s win against Pakistan at the International tournament.

Anushka will be stepping into the shoes of Jhulan Goswami in ‘Chakda Xpress’. Taking to her Instagram Stories, Sharma wrote, “What a flawless performance by our women in blue on securing their first win at the tournament #CWC22”. She even added a clapping hands emoticon as well. The star wished the team for their next match. “Good luck for the next match!!” she wrote.

Taapsee took to Twitter and shared a photo of the women’s cricket team. The actress tweeted, “Now that’s called a rocking start. Onwards and upwards #WomenInBlue #CWC22 (sic),” with a series of clapping hands emojis.

Taapsee is playing the role of the Indian women’s cricket team’s current Test and ODI captain, Mithali Raj. The actress has wrapped the filming of the movie last year.

On the other hand, ‘Chakda ‘Xpress’ is Anushka’s first film in four years. The star had taken a break from work after Zero, co-starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
