A video of Karnataka Housing and Infrastructure Development Minister V Somanna slapping a woman has surfaced. This incident took place on Saturday in Hangla village, where the minister had reached to give land titles (land papers) to the people. During this, a woman reached the minister with some complaint. As soon as the minister listened to the woman and slapped her. But instead of resisting the slap, the woman touched the minister’s feet.

Minister apologizes to the woman
According to some media reports, the woman has claimed that the minister did not slap her but consoled her. The woman said in the statement that she was from a poor family and had appealed to the minister to help her by giving her land. They have given us land and also paid our debt. However, it is also being claimed that later the minister also apologized to the woman.

In the program about 175 people were eligible for land regularization in rural areas under Section 94C of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act.

Congress demanded the dismissal of the minister
Congress has become an attacker after the video went viral. Congress has demanded the dismissal of the minister. On the other hand, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala targeted the PM and the BJP and said that the BJP ministers have become arrogant. He said that Somanna slapped a helpless woman to the ground.
