In the joint session of Indain Railways S&T Maintainers’Union (IRSTMU) and AIRF on Sunday 25 September 2022 in Nadiad, the interests of signal and telecommunication workers were brainstormed for hours. The convention was organized by IRSTMU. In this, Shiv Gopal Mishra, General Secretary of AIRF and Member Staff Side Restructuring Committee was warmly welcomed. In the joint conference, the Federation leader Shivgopal Mishra was apprised about the difficult working system of S&T employees and the problem of working 24 hours. AIRF General Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra is a member of the Ricks and Hardship Committee from the staff side and also from the staff side of the Restructuring Committee.

Signal and Telecom employees, who reached here on behalf of IRSTMU, informed about their difficult working system and the problem of working 24 hours a day. IRSTMU General Secretary Alok Chand Prakash told Shivgopal Mishra that the signal and telecommunication workers have an important role in the work that the railways is doing today in the direction of increasing the speed of the train. In the last few years, after the engineering department, most signal and telecommunication employees have died in accidents. Therefore, initiative should be taken to provide Ricks and Hardship Allowance to S&T employees. IRSTMU National President Naveen Kumar proposed to keep the technician cadre in only two parts Junior Technician and Senior Technician in the restructuring of S&T employees.

Said that Assistant Technicians should be given Level – lll (GP – 2000). AIRF General Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra in his address praised the S&T department and IRSTMU and stressed on being united and said that we are with S&T in this fight and will also fight for justice with S&T in Risk and Hardship Allowance and Restructuring. .
