Punjab AAP leaders, including minister Bram Shanker Sharma-Jimpa, danced to the tunes of dhol celebrating Arvind Kejriwal’s bail.

Punjab minister Bram Shanker Sharma-Jimpa called Arvind Kejriwal’s bail a “huge victory” and said there is “enthusiasm in each and every AAP volunteer”.

“This is a huge victory. There are elections in Haryana. There is enthusiasm in each and every AAP volunteer. This will benefit us, Arvind Kejriwal will go there…A time will come when BJP will have to go to backfoot,” he said.

Former Delhi Deputy CM & AAP leader Manish Sisodia called Arvind Kejriwal’s bail an “assurance that no matter who comes as a dictator, the Constitution of our country is there as a shield”.

“Nothing is above the Consitution in India. The Supreme Court’s decision is not just for Arvind Kejriwal but it is an assurance that no matter who comes as a dictator, the Constitution of our country is there as a shield… It has been proven today that the arrest by the CBI was to halt the bail in the ED case… Arvind Kejriwal has Lord Ram’s blessings and the shield of the Consitution… ‘Sacchai aur kattar Imandari hamesha josh mein rehti hai’…” he said.

AAP leader Sanjay Singh claimed that the entire case was made to “defame and finish the AAP party”.

AAP MP Raghav Chadha said, “… I thank the Supreme Court… He (Arvind Kejriwal) is not just a name, but a brand of honest politics. He had to go to jail for 6 months because of his increasing popularity… AAP will get more strength… I welcome the decision… Welcome Back Arvind Kejriwal… We will make the further strategy after reading the final order of the Supreme Court to understand the conditions under which the bail has been given… There is a wave of joy in Delhi and the country… Arvind Kejriwal will lead the campaign for the AAP in the upcoming Haryana elections now…”

Kejriwal became the third AAP leader after Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh to walk out of jail after securing bail in the excise policy case. He already has been granted an interim bail in the Enforcement Directorate’s money laundering case.
