Will take the strictest measures, can’t imagine: Abhijit Gangopadhyay told Abhishek

He will take strictest action against Abhishek Banerjee if he speaks unfairly about him again. This is what Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay said in an interview given to a private media on Monday evening. He said that he will continue to fight corruption without compromise.

On this day, Justice Gangopadhyay said, ‘I was in Ladakh when Abhishek Banerjee first criticized. I was very angry. I thought, since I have some work to do with it, I will issue a rule and call Abhishek Banerjee. I asked if he said that or not. I used to do my own thing. It required me to work terribly hard. I made a decision’.

After that, Justice Gangopadhyay said, ‘But when I came to Kolkata, I saw that a case had already been filed in the Division Bench. The Division Bench did not consider it very important. But I have a different opinion on this. If I hear anything wrong being said about me like this again, I will take the strictest action. What they cannot imagine. Those who say these things cannot imagine how strict measures can be taken within the law’.

Justice Gangopadhyay has made it clear that his fight against corruption will continue. He commented that the people of the country have accepted corruption as a part of life. According to him, even if corruption cannot be stopped, it is necessary to put pressure on the corrupt.
