On Tuesday, a man shot his mother-in-law and wife in the court premises in Shirur area of Pune, in which the wife died on the spot and the mother-in-law is admitted to the hospital. Family dispute is said to be the reason behind this murder. The divorce case was going on between the husband and wife for several months and all three had come on the court date today.
The accused has been identified as Deepak Dhawale (42) and shot his wife Manjushree Dhawale (36) in the head. After his death was confirmed, he also shot his mother-in-law Tulsabai Jhambre (60) in anger. According to the police, his brother Sandeep Dhawale also supported him in this incident.
Deepak is retired from the army and has shot his wife with his service revolver. The police have recovered the weapon used in the murder.
A pistol and a knife have been recovered from the accused.

It has come to the fore in the investigation that the accused did not want to divorce the wife, but the wife was fighting the case in the court for the demand of divorce and maintenance. For the past several months, the husband and wife and their family members were making rounds of the court and almost every time they quarreled. In this anger, the accused along with his brother took this deadly step.

The incident happened around 2 pm. After this incident in the court premises, there was an atmosphere of chaos for some time. On getting information about the incident, the police team reached the spot and arrested the accused and his brother. After the incident, the accused were caught by the lawyers and thrashed them fiercely. A police team is engaged in further investigation.
