Wife: Jawan Was Being Treated For Depression | Hubballi News – Times of India

Belagavi: The Border Security Force (BSF) constable who shot dead four senior colleagues before turning the gun on himself at a camp in Amritsar on Sunday was under treatment for depression in Dharwad for the past two months, his family said.
The deceased constable has been identified as Sateppa Siddappa Kilaragi35, from Hukkeri in Belagavi district. Sources said the body will be brought to his village by Tuesday evening.
Around 9am on Sunday, Sateppa called his wife and reportedly told her that he was feeling depressed and wanted to return home. The firing unfolded around 9.45am.
Attari deputy superintendent of police Balbir Singh | said the jawan was admitted to a hospital in Amritsar on Saturday after he complained of health issues.
