1. Youth resentment
In 2022, AAP got maximum support from youth. He only raised the flag of change. This time not much youth was visible at the polling booths. The biggest reason behind this is the government job. The AAP government definitely claims to provide 29,000 government jobs, but the youth are not happy with it. The second reason could be the effect of the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala. Moosewala’s parents got maximum support from the youth when they came to Jalandhar. Who directly said don’t vote for AAP.
2. Did not get the support of women
The number of women was also less visible at the polling booth. Women gave a lot of support to AAP in 2022 elections. The reason for this was to give one thousand rupees a month to women above 18 years of age from April 2022 as soon as the government was formed. This promise was not fulfilled even after 14 months. Even the government does not even talk about it now.
3. Voting trends do not support the government
It is generally believed that whenever the voter is in favor of the ruling party, there is more voting. This did not happen in Jalandhar. Reverse voting was less than the last 4 Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, churning is going on whether it went against AAP or whether it was his voter who came out. 4. Resentment of employees
The Aam Aadmi Party had promised the employees that raw employees would be confirmed if voted to power. Old pension will be restored, benefit of special increment will be given on 7-9-14 years of service. But the demands of the employees were not met. Due to which it seemed that the working class was also angry with the government.
Congress is also in tension due to low voting
1. Congress is winning this seat for the last 4 consecutive terms. Then the voting percentage was 60% or more. This time around 6 to 7% voting has decreased. In such a situation, whether the deciding voter who can make the Congress win has not come out of the house?, Congress is worried about this. However, the Congress is considering the absence of bumper voting in its favour.
2. This time there was maximum disunity in the Congress. The biggest loss was due to the departure of Sushil Rinku. He was continuously making election strategy of Congress Candidate Karmjit Kaur Chowdhary, but suddenly joined AAP in the morning and got ticket from there. Jalandhar West already has an AAP MLA. In such a situation, Congress faced a leadership crisis here due to Rinku joining AAP.
Bharatiya Janata Party
The BJP had high hopes from the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat. The reason for this is 48% of the urban area here. The BJP was hopeful that they would get huge support from the voters in the urban areas. It does not seem so because of low voting, because there was no bumper voting even in urban areas. In such a situation, this is not a pleasant sign for the BJP.
Akali Dal-BSP
The Akali Dal-BSP alliance is also worried due to low voting. The Akali Dal, having already parted ways with the BJP, could not consolidate the urban vote bank. Here he remained with the support of BSP. In the rural areas, there was a jolt after Inder Iqbal Atwal left the party and joined the BJP. Now due to less voting, there is not much good possibility for him.
Maximum AAP and least voting in the area of Congress MLA
In terms of voting, the highest turnout was recorded in Kartarpur, the constituency of AAP MLA Balkar Singh, with 58%. After this, 57.4% voting took place in Shahkot assembly constituency. Congress MLA Hardev Singh Ladi is from here. However, the lowest voter turnout of 49.7% was recorded in Jalandhar Cantt. Congress MLA Pragat Singh is also here. Apart from this, 55.8% voting took place in Phillaur, 54.5% in Jalandhar North and 54% in Adampur. Congress has MLAs in all these places.
Good on 3 seats of AAP MLA, less voting on one
In Jalandhar, the voter turnout was 58% in Kartarpur, 56.5% in Jalandhar West and 55.9% in Nakodar. AAP has MLAs in all these three places. Jalandhar Central, the fourth seat with an AAP MLA, recorded 48.9% voting. In such a situation, there are definitely some good and some bad signs for you.
