Western Railway Employees Union staged a sit-in at Sabarmati Railway Station and demanded – Rail Hunt

SABNARMATI: On 07 October 2022, the Sabarmati branch of Western Railway Employees Union staged a sit-in on platform number one of Sabarmati railway station on 31-point demands of railway employees. The leaders of the railway union expressed their anger at the indifferent attitude of the railway administration towards the demands of the railway employees and the injustice being done to the employees and held a one-day strike.

Railway workers along with office bearers and workers of many branches including Viramgam, Palanpur, Gandhidham, Kalol, Mehsana, Patan, Gandhinagar participated enthusiastically in the program. The dharna lasted from 10 am to 05 pm on Friday. A one-day protest was organized by the Western Railway Employees Union, Sabarmati branch for the pending demands of the railway employees of Ahmedabad division not being fulfilled by the railway administration.

In the program, Divisional Minister Dinesh Panchal, former Divisional Minister partner HS Pal, Joint Divisional Minister and JC Bank Director Sanjay Suryabali, Circle President Partner GS Yadav, Divisional Officer Misbahul Hasan, BP Gadhvi, Baldhari Mahor, Rajendra Mishra and Dhananjay Addressing the gathering, Dangi expressed displeasure over the attitude of the railway administration. The leaders also requested the railway administration to take prompt action considering the pending demands immediately.
