Now know what was the whole story of this couple
Palash and Shukla Adhikari came to Bengaluru in July 2022. The police arrested him on the suspicion of being Bangladeshi. A case was registered against them under the Foreign Act. Both of them tried hard to convince the police that they were residents of Jamalpur police station area of East Burdwan, but they were not heard.
Bangalore police reached Burdwan to investigate
A few days later, the Bengaluru police reached Palash’s house in Burdwan to verify his claims. The team also met the development block officer of Jamalpur. Checked his documents. On learning of the arrest, Palash’s relatives reached Bangalore and applied for bail. Later the police filed the charge sheet.
Couldn’t pay bail bond, had to stay in jail for a month more
Palash’s relative Sujoy Halder said that the couple had got bail on April 28 itself. But he could not pay the bail bond, so he had to stay in jail till 24 May. Actually, the court had ordered the local guarantor to submit the land papers for bail. The couple left for Howrah on Thursday only after filling the bail bond.
