In Gujarat’s Rajkot, several vehicles were seen drowning after heavy rains lashed the district.

The water level of Yamuna is continuously decreasing in Delhi. According to news agency PTI, the water level was recorded at 205.30 meters at 8 pm on Tuesday, which is now below the danger mark of 205.33 metres. According to officials, 1,300 animals have died due to floods in the capital, which have been sent to the Ghazipur slaughterhouse.

However, 11 districts of UP are in the grip of flood due to Yamuna. 4 people died in the last 24 hours. More than 78 thousand people of 386 villages are affected by the flood. After 45 years in Agra district, the walls of Taj Mahal have been submerged by the water of Yamuna. The last time the Yamuna touched the wall of the Taj Mahal was in 1978 during a heavy flood.

Here, in Gujarat’s Rajkot, many vehicles were seen drowning after heavy rains in the district. In Himachal, 682 roads are closed since 9 days. So far in this monsoon, government and private property worth about Rs 4,700 crore has been damaged in the state.

There are flood-like conditions in many districts of about 15 states of the country. These include UP, Bihar, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Goa, Uttarakhand and Gujarat.

  • Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the people to stay in the relief camps as the water level of Yamuna is constantly changing.
  • The officials visited flood relief camps and inquired about the facilities being provided to the affected people there. According to government data, so far 27,000 people have been evacuated from the flood-affected areas, out of which 18,000 people are living in relief camps.
