The VSSC Apprentice Recruitment 2023 walk-in interview for 162 posts at Government Polytechnic College, Ernakulam, Kerala will start run from 9:30 AM to 5 PM on October 7
The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) has invited online applications for the apprentice posts. Eligible individuals interested in applying for the offered post can appear for a walk-in interview at Government Polytechnic College, Kalamassery, Ernakulam District, Kerala, tomorrow, October 7. Candidates should note that the interview will start at 9:30 AM and end at 5:00 PM. This recruitment drive is being conducted to fill up 162 posts at VSSC.
Among the offered posts by the organisation, there are 50 posts for Mechanical Engineering, 40 posts for Electrical Engineering, 25 posts reserved for Chemical Engineering, and 15 seats for Computer Science. Moreover, for the Automobile Engineering and Civil Engineering posts, there are 8 seats each and for Instrument Technology there are 6 posts.
As per the official notification, the duration of training will be one year from the date of joining and the stipend is Rs 8,000 per month.
VSSC Apprentice Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the post, the age limit for the unreserved categories is set at 30, whereas for the Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates, the age limit is 33. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) must be 35 years of age.
Candidates who have received a first-class diploma in the concerned engineering disciplines, including automobile, chemical, civil, computer science, electrical, electronic, instrument, mechanical, electrical, and others, awarded by a state board of technical education comes under the Southern Region Board of Apprenticeship Training, can apply for the posts.
In addition to that, candidates who have acquired a diploma in engineering before April 2019 and are pursuing a final-year diploma course or waiting for the result are not eligible to apply.
VSSC Apprentice Recruitment 2023: How To Apply?
To apply for the post, candidates must register online in the Ministry of Education NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in or sdcentre.org. For confirmation, the interviewee must carry their Registration no. and a hard copy of the same during the walk-in interview.
Furthermore, candidates must be aware that the selection for the posts will be based on the highest marks scored by the candidates in the relevant examination, with due weightage to reservation categories. Moreover, the induction of apprentices into the 2023–24 vacant training positions shall be strictly based on the position of the candidate on the panel, subject to the availability of vacancies and the validity of the panel.
