The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has started accepting applications for the VITREE (VIT Research Entrance Examination) for the January 2024 session. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the research entrance exam on the official website – vit.ac.in. The last date to apply for the VITREE 2024 is November 30, 2023. While applying though, candidates will be required to pay a VITREE 2024 Application Fee of Rs 1,200. Notably, the VITREE is a national-level exam conducted by the VIT to shortlist suitable candidates for admissions into its research (PhD) programmes.
As per the official schedule, the VITREE 2024 for the January session will be conducted on December 10, 2023, and personal interviews shall be conducted on December 16, 2023. The VITREE 2024 Final Result is scheduled to be released on December 22, 2023. Following the result announcement, selected candidates will be required to select their respective guides and pay their tuition fee online by December 31, 2023.
The exam will be conducted across 33 cities in the country in the online CBT (Computer Based Test) mode where the exam paper will have a total of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). While 70 questions in the exam paper shall be technical, 15 questions will be from Statistics and probability, and 15 from English Communication Skills. The total exam duration allowed for candidates to answer all the questions shall be two hours. Moreover, the exam will be conducted in two sessions: Forenoon Session (10:00 am to 12:00 noon) and Afternoon Session (02:30 pm to 04:30 pm).
