Outbreak of Kovid-19 continues in Jharkhand. The number of corona virus cases increasing rapidly every day is increasing the concern. The state recorded 3,825 new cases on Friday, rising from 3,704 infections on the previous day to 3,69,047. State capital Ranchi alone has 1,543 Covid-19 cases, followed by East Singhbhum with 593, Bokaro 216, East Singhbhum 175 and Deoghar 168.

A bulletin of the health department said that eight deaths have been recorded in the state during the last 24 hours. With this, the death toll has increased to 5,161. On Friday, three deaths occurred in Bokaro, two each from Ranchi and East Singhbhum and one from Seraikela. However, there were no deaths on Wednesday.

At present, there are 17,206 active cases of Kovid in the state. Two persons from the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia tested positive in Jamshedpur and their samples have been sent for genome sequencing at a laboratory in Bhubaneswar, an official said. So that it is known that they are not infected with Omicron.

The Jharkhand High Court on Friday slammed the state government and its apex medical institute Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) for not being able to procure medical equipment, including genome sequencing machines.
