The army shared the full video of the design of the headquarters on Twitter on 26 April. He wrote that by 2025 the army will get a new headquarters. It will be state-of-the-art, earthquake resistant and green. Along with this, the army told that the design of the top of the building will be like the logo of the Indian Army.

Work started in January 2023, will be completed in 27 months
The work on Thal Sena Bhawan started in January 2023, which will be completed in 27 months. It is being built at a cost of Rs 832 crore. It is being built on 40 acres. This building project will be like Central Vista. There will be many different offices of the army within this building, which are currently spread in many parts of Delhi.

It will be a seven floor building. It will have a host of facilities including a facility zone, an infrastructure complex, single main living house, vehicle parking, engineering service field and common library.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had laid the foundation stone of the new Thal Sena Bhavan in February 2020.
