A woman resident of Jhajjar, Haryana has also died in the stampede in Mata Vaishno Devi temple premises. 38-year-old Mamta, a resident of Beri area of ​​Jhajjar district, had gone to visit Mata Vaishno Devi with her 19-year-old son Aditya 3 days ago. On New Year’s Eve, both of them had darshan of the mother, but before coming back home, an accident happened.

Neighbors of Mamta told that both of them were coming back after having darshan around 2.30 pm when a stampede broke out near the temple premises. Aditya got separated from his mother Mamta and Mamta became a victim of a stampede. He died on the spot. After much searching, when there was peace between the screams, Aditya came to know that his mother had died.

Aditya is safe. Mamta’s family members have reached Katra from Beri. Mamta’s body can reach Beri by late evening. Mamta’s husband Surendra died 3 years ago due to illness. The family is survived by her mother-in-law, son Aditya and a 13-year-old daughter. The family is shocked by Mamta’s death. There is no one at Mamta’s house at present.

The woman who died in the stampede at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine is yet to be identified, but it is being told that perhaps this unknown woman is from Punjab. This is being gauged from the fact that a Khanda Sahib tattoo is made on his hand. So the woman can be from a Sikh family and can belong to Punjab.

In the stampede, people’s belongings, purse bags, etc. everything were lost and no purse etc. has been found from this woman. Due to the absence of any identity document with the woman, there is a problem in her identification.
