From today, all the elderly people of 60+ age will be given precaution dose (3rd dose) of Kovid Vaccine. Till now, the third dose was being administered to the same elderly people of this age, who were suffering from comorbidities.

The special thing is that it is not necessary for children between the age of 12 to 14 years to register online. The government has clarified that their time slot can be booked by registering online from 9 am on Wednesday, but parents can directly reach the vaccination center and show age-related documents to get their child vaccinated.

Due to the re-increasing infection in China, the pace is being taken

Corbevax vaccine will be administered
Children in the age group of 12 to 14 years will be given the Corbevax vaccine of Biologicals-E company, while the current vaccination of the age group of 15 to 17 years is being administered by Bharat Biotech Company’s Covaxin. There are options for people over the age of 18, such as Covaxin, Covishield and the Sputnik-V vaccine. Corbevax had received emergency approval from the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) on February 21.

Center also sent a meeting with the states, advisory letter

Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written an advisory letter to the Chief Secretaries of all the states for this campaign on Tuesday. In this letter, advisory has been given to the states for the precaution to be taken during the vaccination. Earlier in the day on Tuesday, the Health Secretary also held a virtual meeting with the states regarding vaccination.
