Uttarakhand’s tableau became the best tableau in the Republic Day Parade: Army’s Punjab Regiment received the Best Marching Contingent Award

Out of all the tableaux displayed on the duty path in the Republic Day parade, the tableau of Uttarakhand has got the first prize. Uttarakhand displayed a tableau on the theme of wildlife and religious places of the state.

The Central Government gave information about these awards on Monday. Jhanki of Gujarat received the Best Prize in the Popular Choice Segment. At the same time, the Punjab Regiment of the Indian Army has received the award for the best marching contingent among the three armies.

The Corbett National Park at the forefront of Uttarakhand’s tableau featured deer, reindeer and a variety of birds. The state animal musk deer, national birds peacock and ghoral were shown in the center of the tableau. Next to this, Jageshwar Dham was displayed in Manaskhand of Almora district in the tableau. There are 125 big and small ancient temples here. Deodar trees were shown at the back.

6 contingents of the army marched in the parade. These units included the Mechanized Infantry Regiment, the Punjab Regiment, the Maratha Light Infantry Regiment, the Dogra Regiment, the Bihar Regiment and the Gurkha Brigade.

The Marching Contingent of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was adjudged the Best Contingent among contingents of the Central Armed Police Forces and Auxiliary Forces.

Among the tableaux of the ministries and departments, the tableau of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs got the award for the best tableau.

Tableau of Central Public Works Department on the theme of Biodiversity and Vande Bharatam dance group got special prize.

23 tableaux were displayed in the Republic Day parade. Of these, 17 tableaux were from states and union territories and 6 from ministries and departments. The theme of ‘Nari Shakti’ was the most observed in this year’s parade.
