First pro tem speaker will take oath today, then MLAs will be sworn in
According to sources, Governor General Gurmeet Singh will administer the oath to the Pro-tem Speaker at Raj Bhavan at 10 am on Monday. Senior BJP MLA Banshidhar Bhagat has been elected as the Pro-tem Speaker for the formation of the 5th Legislative Assembly of the state. After taking oath, Banshidhar Bhagat will take oath of all 70 MLAs who came after winning the assembly building. For this, the Assembly Secretariat has completed preparations.

Legislature party meeting will be held in the evening
BJP has called a meeting of its legislature party at 4 pm. Earlier this meeting was called on Sunday, but later it was postponed till Monday. To attend this meeting, Rajnath Singh and Meenakshi Lekhi will also reach Dehradun by special plane by 1.30 pm. The new CM will be elected during the meeting itself.

It is believed that the party high command wants to retain Pushkar Dhami, for whom many MLAs have announced to give up their seats. But the eyes of many MLAs who came after winning are also on the CM’s chair.

BJP had appealed to vote in the assembly elections by declaring the outgoing Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami as the face.

The party has also called all the MPs of the state in the legislature party meeting. There are different indications from this. The state has five Lok Sabha MPs and three Rajya Sabha MPs. Of these 8 MPs, BJP has 5 Lok Sabha and 2 Rajya Sabha MPs. They have been called to the meeting. These MPs also include Ajay Bhatt and Anil Baluni, who are being considered as the contenders for the chief minister’s post.
