NSUI President Sachin Galav clashed with university authority for stopping the documentary.

Panjab University (PU) in Chandigarh created an uproar over the running of a documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the Gujarat riots. When the documentary was played at the Student Center by NSUI, the student wing of the Congress, many students turned up to watch it. Meanwhile, the university authority came to know about it. He rushed to the spot and got the documentary stopped immediately. Before this, almost half the documentary had gone through.

Later, the ABVP, the student organization of the BJP also came to know about it. Although the authority had reached there before that.

Students gathered at Panjab University, Chandigarh to watch a documentary on PM Modi made by NSUI, the student wing of Congress.

It is wrong to stop the documentary: NSUI
NSUI President and Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Councilor Sachin Galav Sharma said that it is wrong to stop this documentary. Everyone should have the right to watch this documentary related to the Prime Minister of the country. He had also approached the VC office in the morning to run this documentary. But the VC could not be found. After which it was run in the evening.

Earlier, before this documentary was played at Delhi’s Jamia Millia Islamia University, the police had detained some students. Government of India has banned this documentary.
