The UP government has ordered that no other exams be scheduled on October 28 and 29 to ensure the proper execution of the exams in the 35 districts

Due to the UP PET 2023 tests that have been scheduled later this month, a holiday has been declared for schools in 35 districts in Uttar Pradesh. The UP PET 2023 examination will be held on October 28 and 29 by the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC). The state government has issued a directive indicating that no additional examinations would be scheduled on the stated days in order to ensure the proper execution of the exams. The 35 districts’ schools have also been given official orders to stop their regular classes.

According to Jagran Josh, this preventive action is taken in light that some of these institutions would serve as designated exam venues for the UP PET 2023. This school closure is intended to prevent disturbances and to provide a welcoming environment for applicants sitting for the test.

As per reports, the UP PET 2023 is expected to attract more than 20 lakh candidates. The test will be given in two sessions, one in the morning from 10 am to 12 pm and the other in the afternoon from 3 pm to 5 pm. Candidates taking the test are encouraged to verify their admit card for the reporting and shift timing. Additionally, students must arrive at the exam centre with their admission card and a valid ID.

General knowledge, numerical aptitude, and reasoning are all covered in the UPPSC PET curriculum, and there will be 100 MCQs of the objective type on the examination. Candidates will have two hours to finish the exam, and each incorrect answer will result in a 0.25 mark deduction.

The Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) test is going to be held by UPSSSC as an Eligibility Test for the recruitment of individuals for Group B and C vacancies. Candidates who pass the test will be entitled to take the Mains test, which will be held to fill positions such as UP Lekhpal, X-Ray Technician, Junior Assistant, and other Group B and C positions.

In the meantime, 14 schools have been forced to close immediately by the Gautam Buddh Nagar district government due to claims that they operated without official recognition. The majority of these institutions, which educate kids from kindergarten to class 12, are located in villages surrounding Noida.
