New Delhi: Regardless of what Uorfi Javed wears, she always draws attention. For the social media star, though, receiving backlash and being mocked for her wardrobe choices is just as typical. The Bigg Boss OTT contestant revealed on Tuesday that she is receiving death threats for dressing like Rajpal Yadav in the movie ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’.
Uorfi took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to share the screenshots of the emails she has got after posting her Halloween look. The threats claimed that the actor had offended religious feelings.
“I’m just shocked and appalled by this country mahn , I’m getting death threats in recreating a character from a movie where as that character didn’t get any backlash,” she wrote.
For those who are unaware, Uorfi’s Halloween recreation of Rajpal Yadav’s ‘Chote Pandit’ look from ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ was a huge hit with fans. To pull off the look, she wore a sheer red top with a dhoti and red makeup on her face. There was a marigold garland around her neck as well.
