BJP MP and Union Minister Satyapal Singh Baghel on Monday said that tolerant Muslims in the country can be counted on one hand. I think their number is not even in the thousands. These people wear the mask of being tolerant to become Vice-President-Governor or Vice-Chancellor. Then the real face of such people comes to the fore when their tenure is over.

Union Minister Baghel gave this statement on Monday while addressing the Dev Rishi Narad journalist honor ceremony in Agra.

CIC said – Tolerant Muslims should be taken along
This statement of the Union Minister came after the comment of Central Information Commissioner (CIC) Uday Mahurkar. In fact, Mahurkar had said that India should fight Islamic fundamentalism. Apart from this, tolerant Muslims should be taken along. He had said that Mughal emperor Akbar had done a lot of work for Hindu-Muslim unity and Chhatrapati Shivaji considered Akbar right for this.

Hindu Muslim unity was just a strategy of Akbar: Baghel
BJP leader Baghel rejected Mahurkar’s claim. He said that it was Akbar’s strategy to show Hindu-Muslim unity. Marrying the Mughal ruler to Jodha Bai was also part of his political strategy. If Akbar was in favor of the unity of both the religions, he would not have got the massacre done in Chittorgarh. Baghel further said that when I think about the Mughal rule, I wonder how we survived during their rule. When Muhammad Ghori defeated Prithviraj Chauhan in the year 1192, India’s bad days had started since then.

Muslims will become Kalam by studying science, not by studying Urdu-Persian: Baghel
On the issue of religious conversion, Baghel said that more conversions have been done in the country through talismans than swords. Even today, a large number of Hindus go to Khwaja Garib, Nawaz Saheb, Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya, or Salim Chishti. People go there and ask for wishes.

A section of Muslims still feel that they have been rulers for so long, then how did they suddenly become subjects? This is what the whole fight is about. This is because they are not getting good quality education. Baghel further said that if he learns Urdu, Arabic and Farsi in madrassas, he will become an imam. If he studies physics and chemistry, he will become Abdul Kalam.
