Jasapada village near Bandikui, Dausa in Rajasthan. A girl was playing, running, laughing with her brother. Who can say that 24 hours ago this girl was in the face of death. When the mother was crying in disgrace, the father and uncle, who were returning from 800 km away, were repeatedly telling the car driver..drive the car fast.

A lot has changed in 24 hours, but one thing has not changed… 2 year old Ankita’s smile. A day before, she was trapped in the borewell 100 feet below the ground, was hungry and thirsty, yet she was playing, playing.

The daughter did not drink the water, the mother’s throat was drying up. Repeatedly calling – son drink water. Dada Kamal Singh was conveying every update of the rescue operation with the villagers to Ankita’s father, hundreds of kilometers away. Grandmother was pleading with God that in any case the granddaughter should come out safely. When Ankita was taken out of the borewell in the evening, the house and the villagers came to life.

A 5-second video of Ankita was also recorded during the rescue operation. Full of innocence and vivacity, this video teaches that it is better to face any situation with a smile than to panic.

First see, what was Ankita doing without water and food for 7 and a half hours…

Now know what happened?
Jasapada village near Bandikui in Dausa district. It was some 11 in the morning. Two-year-old innocent Ankita was playing outside the house with her grandfather Kamal Singh. There was a borewell here, to fill it Kamal Singh was pouring soil in it. Ankita’s mother had gone to the temple. When he felt thirsty, Kamal Singh went inside the house to drink water.

When she returned barely a minute later, Ankita was missing. Looked here and there and then as soon as he heard the sound of his crying from the borewell, he was stunned. The villagers were called and brought, and after that the rescue of Ankita started.

Ankita kept playing for 7 and a half hours of struggle
100 feet depth, raw borewell. No light and no oxygen inside. It was 12.30 and Ankita had drank some milk since morning. He had been fighting for life and death for an hour. Efforts had started to get him out, but it was difficult to say how long he would be able to get out.

It was a matter of relief among all this that oxygen had been delivered to him and after a while a camera had also been sent to him. Keep trying to catch this camera again and again. After this the SDRF team started keeping an eye on him.

Meanwhile, a bottle of water with nipples was delivered to her. The mother kept shouting from above – the son should drink water, but Ankita could not drink the water. After some time such a video of him came, which everyone was surprised to see. At a depth of 100 feet, this innocent, hungry for many hours, was playing comfortably. From the mud walls in front, she would first apply soil on her hands and then sweep it. She kept doing this over and over again by moving around. As if he does not have any information about where he is and how every moment is getting heavy on him.

To face this hour of crisis, he made this game a shield in front of death. She kept playing like this for a long time and finally after 7 and a half hours of effort she was pulled out safely. She was still smiling when she came out.

Grandma took her eyes after bringing home
After being taken out, Ankita was taken to the hospital. Throughout the night, she remained under the supervision of doctors at the district hospital in Dausa. He was discharged on Friday morning. As soon as he reached home, Grandma Chando first put him on the chest and then took his eyes off her. Grandmother said- My baby girl has come with a new birth, now I will never let it go away from myself.

father arrived at night
At the time of this accident, Ankita’s father and uncle were in Dungarpur, about 800 km away. They do contract work there. As soon as they got the news, they took the car and left from there. At seven in the evening, he had also got the news of the innocent being evacuated safely. After a journey of about 16 hours, he reached Dausa Hospital at 4 in the morning. On seeing the daughter in front, he became emotional and hugged her.

Ankita’s uncle Sumersingh told that Ankita is very naughty. She does not sit anywhere even for a minute. Even after coming from the hospital, bullying started at his house.

Plan A and Plan B were being worked together
The rescue agency was working on two plans to save Ankita. One plan was to dig a pit 100 feet deep parallel to the borewell and then make a tunnel from there to take out the girl. The execution of this plan had started, but it could have taken the morning to complete it. So NDRF also started work on Plan B to save Ankita from the country jugaad. This desi jugaad came in handy and the girl was taken out safely.

NDRF brought out Ankita in just half an hour
The National Disaster Reserve Force (NDRF) took out the innocent trapped in the borewell by this force in just half an hour. Now the question arises that when NDRF is so capable, why was it not called already. There is a big reason behind this too. Actually, when the efforts of Civil Defense, SDRF at the local level start failing, only then the team of NDRF is called.

At around 3 pm, the team was called by Dausa Collector Qamar Chaudhary to the NDRF. Immediately the team left from Kishangarh. The NDRF team reached Jaspada at around 6 pm and immediately started the rescue and took out the girl at around 6.40 pm.
