Jwala, a female cheetah brought from Namibia, gave birth to 4 cubs on 27 March.

2 more cubs of female cheetah Jwala died in Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park. Earlier on Tuesday, a cub had died. Cheetah Jwala gave birth to four cubs on March 27. Only one of these is left now. Six cheetahs have died in Kuno in two months.

PCCF JS Chauhan told that after the death of one cub in Kuno National Park, the condition of 3 other cubs was also not looking good, keeping this in mind, all three cubs were kept under the supervision of Kuno wildlife doctors. It has come to light that their health deteriorated due to high temperature and heat stroke. Two of them died during treatment on Thursday. The condition of one still remains critical.

Now only 18 cheetahs remain in Kuno
In the first consignment, 8 cheetahs were brought from Namibia to Kuno National Park. He was released in the enclosure by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday on 17 September. After this, on February 18, 12 more leopards were brought to Kuno from South Africa. Jwala, a female cheetah brought from Namibia, had given birth to 4 cubs. First 3 cheetahs and then 3 cheetah cubs died one by one. Now there are only 18 cheetahs left in Kuno.

Cubs were found weak, underweight and dehydrated
The female cheetah Jwala is healthy. His health is being constantly monitored. Kuno management reported that all of her cubs were emaciated, underweight and very dehydrated. Jwala has become a mother for the first time. Cheetah cubs are about 8 weeks old. At this age, they try to understand things and walk with their mother continuously. The cubs had just started roaming with mother Jwala about 8-10 days ago.

According to the information given by the Forest Department, the team monitoring the cheetahs was seen sitting in a lethargic condition at 9 am on Sunday morning.
