Two Arrested For Stabbing Friend To Death In A Drunken Brawl In Mumbra | Thane News – Times of India

THANE: A drunken brawl led to the murder of a 37-year-old who was stabbed to death by two of his friends. The accused duo have been arrested by the mumbra police.
The deceased has been identified as Rohit Singh, a daily wage worker while the accused as Vilas Survase (30) and Shantaram Chavan (35) The police found Singh sitting near the railway tracks with injuries on Monday. He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. Based on the post-mortem reports the police registered a case of murder.
During the probe the police made inquiries and found that the accused and the deceased had a tiff at a local country liquor shop. “The deceased and the accused are friends who met at a country liquor bar and while drinking, the deceased started to check the pockets of one accused for money. This enraged the duo who in a fit of rage stabbed him leaving the deceased greviously injured,” said a police officer.
