Twitter Vows To Sue Elon Musk as He Backs Out of $44 Bn Buyout Deal

American billionaire Elon Musk on Friday, 8 July, terminated his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter, accusing the tech company of making “false and misleading representations” about the prevalence of fake accounts on its platform.

Twitter’s chairman, Bret Taylo, said the board will pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement.

“The Twitter Board is committed to closing the transaction on the price and terms agreed upon with Mr Musk and plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement,” he tweeted.
