Truck tramples ARTO constable-driver in UP: Both died on the spot; Third such incident within a week in the country

A truck driver trampled a constable and driver of ARTO Enforcement (Enforcement) in Uttar Pradesh’s Sultanpur. After this, the vehicle of ARTO was also hit and the driver fled leaving the truck on the spot. Both the personnel have died in the accident, while the enforcement officer narrowly escaped.

The ARTO officer had signaled the truck to stop, but the truck diver carried out the incident. As soon as the information about the accident was received, Superintendent of Police Somen Burma reached the spot along with the force. He inspected the spot. ARTO Enforcement has registered a case in this matter. Police have started action by taking possession of the truck.

This incident of crushing police officers with vehicles is the third in the last one week. Earlier, DSP in Haryana and SI in Jharkhand were crushed to death by criminals.

The truck driver increased the speed on the signal to stop

The truck driver first crushed the ARTO driver and constable, then hit the ARTO car parked on the side of the road.

The accident took place near Madhavpur Chhatauna village of Gosainganj police station area. ARTO enforcement Rakesh Kumar Verma had left for checking on the Lucknow-Ballia road at around 4 am on Tuesday. They were checking vehicles with the team after getting down from the car near Madhavpur Chhatauna village.

Meanwhile, the team signaled to stop the speeding truck going from Sultanpur to Kadipur, but instead of stopping, the truck driver increased the speed and started running. Contractual driver Abdul Mobin and constable Arun Singh, who were on contract in ARTO, tried to escape, but were crushed by the truck driver. After this, the car of the ARTO parked on the side of the road was also hit.

ARTO enforcement Rakesh Kumar Verma called the police immediately, but the truck driver fled. Driver Mobin and constable Arun had died before the police arrived. Arun Singh was a resident of BKT in Lucknow. The driver Mobin was a resident of Shastri Nagar in Sultanpur’s Kotwali Nagar.

Iron sheet was loaded on the truck
Superintendent of Police Somen Burma, Circle Officer Jaisinghpur Krishnakant Saroj and SHO Sandeep Rai reached the spot. The bodies of both the personnel have been sent for post-mortem. The truck has been taken into custody. Iron sheet was loaded on this truck. The search for the accused truck driver is on. CO Jaisinghpur Krishnakant Saroj said, “This incident happened during checking. The body has been sent for post-mortem. Legal action is being taken in the matter.”

DM Ravish Kumar Gupta and Additional SP Vipul Kumar Srivastava have investigated the spot. The DM said, “The fitness and maintenance check of the truck is being done. The truck driver has fled from the spot. Rest of the evidence is being collected.

Third such incident in the country in 7 days
