Tom Cruise risked his life to perform a midair stunt scene. Photos of the same have now gone viral.
Tom Cruise is currently busy with the filming of his upcoming film, Mission Impossible 8. And it seems like he is topping all the stunts he’s previously done. In new photos from the sets of the film, from Switzerland, the actor was seen hanging off an aircraft mid-air. The photos, shared by Daily Mail, hinted that Tom is not leaving any stone unturned, like he always does.
In the photos, which have gone viral on X, Tom was seen performing a deadly stunt scene. He was seen holding on to the wings of the craft in the photos. In one of the photos, the aircraft was seen inverted while Tom hung on to it. The production team’s helicopter was flying closeby. See the photos below:
This is not the first time Tom is performing a mid-air stunt scene. In 2018, Tom did a daring helicopter stunt scene for Mission: Impossible – Fallout. The insane scene kept fans on the edge.
While Tom is tight-lipped about the film, his Mission Impossible 8 co-star Shea Whigham teased the film. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter last month, he shared, “I said to Christopher McQuarrie, ‘I don’t want a bigger trailer. I don’t want more money. I don’t want better catering. I just want one scene between Tom and I, where you, McQ, write it like The Usual Suspects, and we get a chance to get in there.’ And he delivered.” After filming the scene, Whigham and Tom Cruise even went for dinner together where Cruise said it was “going to be a sprint” to finish the shoot.
Heaping praise on Tom Cruise, Shea Whigham added, “I can’t even explain how he does the stuff that he does. What he’s doing now, people are going to be floored. He wants to make this one like an adventure film, and he and McQuarrie have an idea of what they want to do with it. So it’s going to be amazing.”
