Today is the 12th day of the monsoon session of Parliament. The proceedings of both the Houses of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha began amid heavy uproar. After the uproar, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon. Opposition parties in Lok Sabha have demanded immediate discussion in Parliament on monkeypox. There is a possibility of ruckus in both the houses of Parliament today. Opposition can surround the government on inflation, Agneepath scheme, GST.

Here, before the Parliament session, the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting was held at Library House in Delhi. Many big leaders of BJP including National President JP Nadda, Defense Minister attended the meeting. In the meeting, JP Nadda told the MPs that every house should create an environment for the tricolor. During this, he talked about making people aware of the tricolor campaign at every home. He said that from August 13 to 15, the tricolor should be installed in every house.

Finance Minister said on inflation – 9 times inflation was in double digit in UPA
Earlier on Monday, inflation was discussed in the Lok Sabha. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave a reply on behalf of the government on inflation in the Lok Sabha. He said that during the UPA, inflation in the country was in double digits 9 times. Retail inflation was above 9% for 22 months, while we are trying to bring down inflation below 7%.

Sitharaman said- GST collection is more than 1.4 lakh crore rupees continuously for the last 5 months. Eight infrastructure sectors grew in double digits in June. Only 16.49% work done in first week of monsoon session
According to media reports, compared to the first week of the monsoon session this year, in the second week, the work of both the houses (Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha) together was only 16.49%. Only 26.90% work was done in the first week. According to reports, there was a decline of 21.58 percent in the functioning of the Rajya Sabha. The Upper House was scheduled to work for 51 hours and 35 minutes, where it was only for 11 hours and 8 minutes. Means 40 hours 45 minutes wasted. Rajya Sabha Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu has expressed displeasure over this.
