Three Kalyan-Dombivli residents working at Mantralaya infected with Omicron variant | Thane News – Times of India

KALYAN: Three residents from Kalyan-Dombivli working at Mantralaya in Mumbai that includes a clerk and two police personnel have been infected with Omicron variant.
Trio person recently were tested Covid-19 positive during their weekly test conducted at Mantralaya.
The health department has sent trios samples for genome sequencing and their report on Wednesday found them Omicron variant.
Dr Ashwini Patil, Health Officer of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation said, “Trio patients are admitted at Art gallery in Kalyan and they are asymptomatic patient with no any symptoms”.
She further said,”We have conducted RT-PCR tests of all close and distance contacts of patients and their reports are awaited”.
Earlier two Covid patients from Kalyan-Dombivli were found Omicron variant including Dombivli man who had returned from South Africa and become first Omicron variant in state and duo after treatment even got discharged.
The twin city even witnessing daily rise in Covid-19 patient. On Thursday twin city had reported 67 patients in a single day.
