Simala Prasad has shared about her role in the movie, which is garnering everyone’s attention.
IPS officer Simala Prasad of the Madhya Pradesh cadre is currently making headlines. According to the latest report, Simala Prasad will play the lead role in the upcoming film, The Narmada Story. The movie will also feature Raghubir Yadav and Mukesh Tiwari in pivotal roles. The story of the film is based on true events and has been shot in Madhya Pradesh. Simala Prasad has shared about her role in the movie, which is garnering everyone’s attention. She said that her profession is a significant aspect of her life; many officers are tirelessly striving to propel the department forward through various creative approaches. Simala Prasad expressed that she is delighted to have collaborated with esteemed veteran artists from her home state. The IPS officer said that she believes the film will serve as an eye-opener in many regards.
She also shared that her mother, Mehrunnisa Parvez, was a well-known litterateur. In 2005, she was honoured with the Padma Shri Award for her contributions to Indian literature. Her father, Shri Bhagirath Prasad, was an IAS officer. So from childhood on, Simala Prasad got to learn a lot from the family.
Simala Prasad said, “On one hand, I got the qualities of art, literature, and acting from my mother, while on the other hand, I got the inspiration to go into administrative service from my father.” Simala also shared that she has been interested in theatre since her college days. She participated in many plays in Bharat Bhawan and Bhopal.
According to reports, The Narmada Story is a suspense thriller based on real-life events, not following the trends of regular Bollywood films that project actors as larger-than-life personalities. The movie is directed by Zaigham Imam, who is popularly known for his movies like Alif and Nakkash.
Earlier, Simala Prasad also worked in the 2019 movie Nakkash. The film stars Inaamulhaq Sharib Hashmi and Kumud Mishra, along with Rajesh Sharma as the main lead.
Simala cracked the UPSC CSE in her first attempt. She became an IAS officer just at the age of 22, securing an All India rank of 51. She has wanted to become an IAS officer since childhood. She began her preparations for the UPSC exam in the last year of her graduation.
