This Marks The Beginning Of A New Era For Windows: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella On Launch Of Cop

Microsoft has generated a buzz in the industry by launching its flagship artificial intelligence (AI)-powered personal computer, Copilot + PCs. Microsoft has endorsed Copilot + PCs as a new category of PCs that have been designed specifically for AI and stand as the fastest as well as the most intelligent Windows PC to be able to see the light of the day. If we talk about the operating system, the tech giant has incorporated AI into it. CEO Satya Nadella said that this marks the beginning of a new era for Windows.

Nadella tweeted, “Today marks the beginning of a new era for Windows, with the launch of Copilot+ PCs. We can’t wait to see how these new AI-powered devices empower people to be more productive and creative.”

Microsoft Copilot + PCs: Features

The latest offering from the house of Microsoft has a minimum specification of above 40 TOPS (trillion operations per second) and 16GB RAM. It features the most advanced AI models on the NPU (Neural Processing Unit), as per Microsoft.

These specially crafted PCs have also been enhanced by the large language models (LLMs) running in Microsoft Azure Cloud for better experiences with photos, editing and so on.

Prior to its release, one feature in particular made headlines for the wrong release. The ‘Recall’ feature left users concerned about their safety, however, now they can relax as these PCs do not have the Recall feature which was unveiled in May. This feature mainly was about the device continuously taking and storing screenshots of user activity.

Who’s Making Copilot + PCs?

Microsoft Copilot + PCs are being made available by Microsoft Surface. Apart from Microsoft Surface, they are also being offered by the original equipment manufacturing partners including Dell, HP, Asus, Lenovo, Samsung, and Acer.
