This is Instagram’s new trick to waste more of your time – Times of India

instagram Is making changes to your feed so you can see posts, promoted content, and more that don’t belong to the people you follow. This will result in an unlimited scrolling experience and force you to visit posts that Instagram thinks you’ll be interested in. So, what is Instagram changing? The moment you end new posts from people you follow and are greeted with the message “You’re all caught up”, Instagram will continue to show you posts from people or brands you don’t follow . Instagram’s algorithms will decide which posts to show or not.
This means that instead of closing the Instagram app after checking all your followers posts, Instagram will ask you to spend more time on the app by showing you random posts and eventually wasting your time, unless you have more time to scroll through Instagram posts. Don’t have the self-control to stop. Seeing the message “You’re all caught up”.
To give you some control over these random posts, the social media platform will reportedly add a “snooze” option that will help you block these posts from being viewed for 30 days. It goes without saying that the more time you spend on Instagram, the better it is for monetization. But this minor change will increase your screen time, affecting your daily routine.
