The Vice Chancellor (VC) of Baba Farid Medical University, Punjab, Dr. Raj Bahadur will not withdraw his resignation. They have returned the car and the gunmen to the government. After becoming VC, the government had given him these facilities including security. Even after 6 days, the government has not taken a decision on his resignation. A few days ago, Health Minister Chetan Singh had gone to Jaudamajra Faridkot Medical College to check.
He opened the closed prisoner ward and made the VC lie there in the torn-dirty mattress. At the same time, the Punjab Civil Services Medical (PCMS) Association claimed that 50 doctors have left their jobs after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government was formed.
Along with lying on the dirty mattress, the minister had also reprimanded the VC for cleanliness.
50 doctors quit in 4 months
According to the PCMS Association, Dr. Maninder Kaur, SMO of Kharar Hospital sought Voluntary Retirement (VRS). Dr. Kaur was also reprimanded by the Health Minister, Jodamajra, who was transferred from Kharar to Dhanaula in Barnala. She is the sister-in-law of former CM Charanjit Channi.
Apart from him, eye specialist Dr. Sukhwinder Deol has also asked for VRS. He was transferred from Bassi Pathana Health Center to SMO at Kharar Hospital. Apart from them, Eye Surgeon Dr. Naresh Chauhan, ENT Specialist Dr. Sandeep Singh are also leaving their jobs. Earlier, Amritsar Medical College Principal Dr. Rajiv Devgan, Vice Principal Dr. Kular Singh, Medical Superintendent Dr. KD Singh have also resigned.
CM Mann’s advice to MLA, avoid aggressive raids
After the Health Minister-VC controversy, CM Bhagwant Mann has given advice to the MLAs. They have been asked to avoid aggressive raids in government offices. The CM says that this is not doing anything good in the public interest. On the contrary, the government has to face embarrassment.
