The government will answer why no one was paid, said the father of the sacked teacher

I did not pay any money. The government will answer why my son lost his job. The government is also responsible for how our family will run. This is how the father of a teacher from West Burdwan, who was sacked by a court order, expressed his anger in front of the journalists.

Last Monday, Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay ordered the dismissal of 269 people in the initial corruption case. Among them is the name of Sushant Chattopadhyay, Acting Teacher in Charge of Laudohar Nabaghanpur Primary School in West Burdwan. The district school inspector’s office has received a letter of dismissal from him this week. Journalists visited his house on Friday. Sushant Babu’s father Naveen Chattopadhyay, a retired teacher, said his son had gone to Asansol. He expressed his anger in the face of the questions of the journalists.

He said, ‘My son passed the exam and got a job. He has been reviewed. Interviewed. Then came the joining letter. After working for four and a half years, I hear that he does not have a job.

But why did Sushant Babu get a job? In reply, Nabinbabu said, ‘Understand that with the government. The government gave my son an appointment letter. They will be able to tell why the job is gone. It is the responsibility of the government to provide food to the families of those who have lost their jobs.

Did Sushant Babu pay any money to get the job? Nabinbabu dismissed that possibility. He said, ‘There is no such thing. Asked to apply offline. After that the interview is done in Bikash Bhaban. There were just over 2,600 candidates. I was there myself. Verification is done again after the interview. Then comes the appointment letter. My son got the appointment letter in December 2016. ‘

According to the district school inspector’s office, Sushant Chatterjee joined Andal Girls School in Durgapur on January 9, 2016 as a teacher. Less than a year later, he joined Laudohar Nabaghanpur Primary School in 2019 as an assistant teacher with a mutual transfer. Until his dismissal, he was the acting teacher in charge of the school.
