Textile Agent Loses 21 Lakh | Rajkot News – Times of India

Rajkot: A textile commission agent in Jetpur town of Rajkot has lodged a complaint that Rs 21 lakh cash was stolen from his shop on Monday night. CCTV footage showed a person entering his shop by breaking the shutter and stealing the cash kept in the drawer. Police said the agent Prasoon Shiyotiya had kept the cash that was to be given to the textile sellers. His shop is located in Shivam Complex on Junagadh Road
Oil miller cheated of 16L
Rajkot: An oil miller living in Kalavad town of Jamnagar district has lodged a complaint against two residents of Nadiad, alleging that they cheated him of Rs 16 lakh in purchasing 600 tins of edible oil. The miller Bhavesh Pansuriya told police that the accused Uttam Barot and Janak first purchased 200 tins from him and gave him a cheque, which later bounced. However, they paid him the amount through RTGS. They again placed an order for 600 tins and said they would pay half the amount through cheque and remaining through RTGS. However, the cheque was returned again and the duo did not even transfer money in the bank.
Municipality chief found inebriated
Rajkot: President of Bhayavadar municipality in Rajkot district was booked under sections of the Prohibition Act and Information Technology Act after he was caught drunk. The accused Nayan Jivani had allegedly placed 13 empty liquor bottles at a spot in the town and raised questions against police by making the video of the bottles viral. When police started an investigation, they found Jivani was himself heavily drunk.
