In the attack on April 20 in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists fired steel bullets at an army truck. These bullets are capable of penetrating armored shields. NSG and NIA team is probing the case. The officer associated with the investigation said that a sniper targeted the army truck. After this there was firing on the truck and grenades were thrown.

The soldiers did not get time to retaliate. The terrorists also stole the weapons of the jawans before fleeing from the attack site. In the terrorist attack in Poonch, 5 soldiers of Rashtriya Rifles Unit were martyred. A young man was injured there. The army truck that came under attack near Bhata Dhurian Jangal was carrying fruits and eatables for Iftar for people in a nearby village.

On the other hand, Shiv Sena Uddhav faction leader Sanjay Raut has claimed that Eknath Shinde’s government in Maharashtra will fall in the next 15 to 20 days. He said that the death warrant of the government has been issued. Now it has to be decided who will sign it. Raut said that the delay in the Supreme Court’s decision has increased the lifeline of the Shinde government. Our party is waiting for the decision.

1. Northern Army Commander reviews search operation, 30 people detained

Northern Command chief Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi met the jawan injured in the Poonch attack at Udhampur Command Hospital. He told the jawan that action is being taken against the terrorists responsible for the attack. General Dwivedi also reviewed the search operation being carried out to nab the terrorists. Earlier on April 22, he had also visited the site of the attack.

According to officials, more than 30 people have been detained for questioning in the Poonch attack, but no arrests have been made so far. Security forces are using drones and sniffer dogs to search the dense forest, but without success. It is believed that the terrorists were living in Rajouri and Poonch for more than a year and had sufficient knowledge of the area.

2. Raut said – Government’s death warrant has been issued, hope for justice from Supreme Court
Sanjay Raut said that the death warrant of the government has been issued. The Supreme Court had last month (on March 16) reserved judgment on petitions by factions of Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde. These petitions were related to the political upheaval in the state last year. A petition sought disqualification of 16 Shiv Sena MLAs accompanying Shinde.

Raut hopes that the court will give a verdict in favor of the Uddhav faction in this matter. On Saturday, Raut claimed that the BJP has asked the Chief Minister to pack his bag and bed. Earlier, Raut had claimed the fall of the Shinde government in February as well. But in February, the Election Commission had allowed the Shinde faction to use the Shiv Sena name and party symbol, considering it to be the real Shiv Sena.

Country’s first water metro will start on April 25, PM Modi will flag off in Kochi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate the country’s first water metro service in Kochi, Kerala on 25 April. The water metro service in Kochi has been built at a cost of Rs 1,136 crore. Under this project, 10 nearby islands will be connected to Kochi City. The Kochi Water Metro Project has 78 electric boats and 38 terminals.

This non-stop connectivity will be done with battery-operated electric hybrid boats. This project is funded by the Government of Kerala (GoK) and KfW. KfW is a German funding agency.
